Founder’s Scholarship

Founder’s Scholarship has been established to honor three Sensei who were instrumental in the formation and development of the MWKF, Izui Sensei, Matsumoto Sensei and Maeda Sensei.

Scholarships will be awarded for a deserving male and female Kenshi along with a third award for a young Kenshi (male or female). Each will be afforded an opportunity to participate in the MWKF annual Summer Camp free of charge.

A $500 stipend to assist in offsetting expenditures for the awarded Kenshi. (submission of an expense report and documentation is required)

Any MWKF Kenshi below the rank of 4-Dan and who are currently a member of both AUSKF and MWKF are eligible to be awarded a Scholarship.

Scholarship Awards are as follows:

  • Izui Sensei Scholarship: Male Kenshi (17 years old and above)

  • Matsumoto Sensei Scholarship: Female Kenshi (17 years old and above)

  • Maeda Sensei Scholarship: Young Adult Male/Female (under 16 years old)
